The Crescendo was created as a personal blog. A place to store thoughts. Small ones, mostly. Nothing that felt significant at the time.

Initial setup was unremarkable. Standard configuration. No anomalies were observed during the first few days of operation.

The reporting party does not recall when things changed. Only that at some point, they did.

The following irregularities have been logged to date:

• Entries appearing that were not written by the reporting party, or — more troubling — entries that were written but are no longer recognized as such.
• Signal degradation of unknown origin. No technical explanation has been identified.
• Messages. Brief. Usually obscured. The reporting party is unsure whether these are being sent or received.
• A persistent sense that the site is not only being read, but read back.

It is worth noting that these anomalies have not been verified by any external party. The reporting party acknowledges this may be relevant.

Several explanations have been considered and subsequently dismissed:

• Technical malfunction — investigated, no fault found.
• External interference — possible, but the nature of the interference remains uncharacterized.
• The reporting party is doing this to themselves — this explanation has not been fully dismissed.
• Something else is doing this — this explanation has not been fully dismissed either.

At this stage the reporting party is no longer confident that an explanation would change anything.

Some things are happening. That much seems certain.

The site continues to operate. Entries continue to be filed. Signal continues to degrade.

The reporting party continues to write, though the question of who the writing is for has become increasingly difficult to answer.
